Power BI data model with three financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow) built using Power BI connected to the Excel model and Xero leveraging AI visuals (minimum value of US$699)
Free 30 days access to EXL Cloud add-in that will enable you to build as many Xero models as you like during that time. You don’t need the add-in post those 30 days to use the models. We will never lock down any models or force you to keep the add-in. They are free for you to use and you are free to cancel the subscription at any time. (minimum value of US$85). We may offer you ongoing discounts if you wish to continue.
We will also provide you with detailed training materials including slides, live sessions, recording available post the training and an instruction manual in the event you get lost along the way (minimum value of US$499).

We will give you access to a Xero demo company and set you up to learn how to build a 3-way model using Xero's Income Statement and Balance Sheet data.

All data, working models and training materials will be provided, including the recording post.

Key topics include:

Power Query for ingesting actual Income Statement and Balance Sheet data
Mapping the accounting data chart of accounts to the model chart of accounts and adjusting them to fit nicely together
Understand the core fundamentals of Dynamic Arrays and LAMBDAs and how they are applied in the 3-way model
Walk through all the logic structures and calculation areas so you grasp how to model all aspects of a business and its related drivers
Setting up user-friendly scenario management and Monte Carlo simulation (should you need it)
Preparing the Excel workbook outputs for Power BI ingestion using Dynamic Arrays and LAMBDA for easy transformation into a financial model start schema.

Understand structurally a best practice approach to design the financial data model schema in Power Query inside Power BI along with advanced editing of M Script.
Introduction and basic understanding of Data Analysis Expression (DAX)
Building best practice relationships within the financial data model whilst being able to separate the financial year from calendar year where these are sometimes out of sync in the real world.
Setting up simple and easy-to-follow home page and navigation
Connecting the data model and measures to the relevant visualisations and structural elements of the Power BI report.
